PREMIER SPIRITUAL WARFARE PRAYER (apart from the Holy Mass)
What I learned recently….some of the reasons the rosary is the sword is that it is
- based on scripture (scripture tells us the Word is our sword),
- gives glory to God (devil departs when God is praised that is why it is good to play hymns of praise in the presence of a dying person),
- we bless Jesus and speak His name 53 times (devil likes neither the blessing NOR the name),
- we ask God the Father, Abba, to deliver us from evil 6 or more times,
- the Blessed Mother prays with us (if the devil leaves during an exorcism because of Her presence which he cannot stand due to Her love and humility imagine what it does to him when we are praying and She is in attendance).
TRIMMINGS ON THE ROSARY
Additionally, older Catholic pray the St Michael prayer and call on the Holy Spirit as introductory prayers to the rosary. This is our premier arrow in our quiver.
EVERY HAIL MARY OF THE ROSARY…BLOW TO THE HEAD
In his book, The Last Exorcist, the late Father Gabriele Amorth records an entire conversation with the devil in which he explains to the priest why he is so angry at the Blessed Mother and what impact the Rosary has upon him….“During an exorcism, Satan told me, through the possessed person, ‘Every Hail Mary of the Rosary is a blow to the head for me; if Christians knew the power of the Rosary, it would be the end of me!’”
ROSARY AS A SWORD
Fr Don Calloway relates in one of his books: Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme of the diocese of Maiduguri, Nigeria, claims that one evening, while he was praying his rosary, Jesus appeared to him holding a sword. During the vision, Jesus extended the sword toward the bishop. When the bishop went to take the sword from Jesus, it miraculously transformed into a rosary! Once the bishop had the rosary-sword in his hands, Jesus looked at him and said three times, “Boko Haram is gone! Boko Haram is gone! Boko Haram is gone!”
